Book - Pages 10 & 11

Next, we went to the National Museum – home of “Lucy” Ethiopia’s “proof” of evolution.

Our tour guide wanted to be sure we got a family portrait with “Lucy”!

Again, our tour guide thought this was an important picture.

This is a “bed” for priests – in case they needed to rest during or between sermons.

Alexa liked this picture because it was about Emperor Yohannes.

This was a picture of Emperor Yohannes.  The Ethiopian word Yohannes means John.

This is Emily breaking the rules.  The chair said “Do not sit.”  (She is standing)  She’s such a rebel – NOT!

This is an ancient injera maker.  We saw all kinds of them; some were electric, some were on stands with fire pits underneath.  When we were at the airport to return home, a man was checking his injera maker!

The kids waiting outside the courtroom.  We waited about 15 minutes for our turn.  It took us about 7 minutes for the Judge to rule that Yohannes was irrevocably our son.

This is our first picture after passing court.  He was a little unsure of us at first but we grew on him as the week progressed.  This is Emily’s favorite picture.  He looks like he is thinking “Are you sure they said you were my mama?”

Proud parents of 5.
Ryan says he’ll fit right in – being more attached to mom than dad!

First picture with me and all my “babies”.
