Church at the International Evangelical Church

After church, we went to lunch at Island Breeze. It was not our favorite and we were in a hurry, but they were not! After lunch we had plans to go to Entoto Mountain.

The top of Entoto Mountain is 3,200 meters above sea level. We had a very clear view of Addis Ababa. The air was so thin it was hard for Alexa to breathe.

Lots of women gather Eucalyptus bundles and carried them down the mountain to sell in the city. They make the equivalent of $8 a day.

The Eucalyptus Trees

One of the nice houses on top of the mountain. If they had a cup on a stick, they offered homemade beer. If they had a plate on a stick, they were a home restaurant.

This was a house/market with a window to expedite sales. An Ethiopian “drive-thru” I suppose!

This Church, Entoto Maryam Church, was on the top of the mountain. Solomon said it was the oldest church in Ethiopia. I haven’t checked the facts – just assumed he knew.
